5-8 Amendments

Witness- Somebody who gives evidence after seeing or hearing something
Indict- The person charged with the commission of the crime
Testify- To prove or demonstrate evidence of something
Grand Jury- Group of people to examine the problem of the trial
Due Process- The principles of justice
Capital Punishment- Execution of punishment of person committing a crime
Excessive- Beyond what is considered acceptable
Bail- A sum of money for the accused person's release
Peer- A member of the nobility

I think that to get these rights for a crime if you are convicted it would really matter on what the crime is that you have done. If someone just killed someone or multiple people they shouldn't be able to have any of these rights. But if you committed a minor crime like speeding in a car or something like that you should be able to get all of these rights. If a ever committed a crime even though I wouldn't, I would want all of these rights. Overall I think that it was a good thought to make all of rights for getting convicted of a crime.

2-4 Amendents

I think that gun control is bad if you were living back in the day when people would kill you just to kill you or because they didn't like you. But in modern times gun control is good because of terrorists and gangs going into the public and killing or injuring people can be controlled.

I think it was fair for the troops back in the time of the Revolutionary War to get to be able to go into a house because they needed a place to stay in like the middle of the winter. On the other hand the people who owned the homes might not like strangers coming into there house and using it for a few days.

When the police are getting a warrant on your house they could get one by have a conspiracy that you may have guns, drugs, stolen money or stolen anything. But sometimes you might be innocent and somehow they got a warrant and you really didn't want them to search you house.

The First Amendment

Give a speech before a large gathering of people and express opinions about the president's abilities.
Post your opinion on your blog about an issue being discussed at a local school board meeting.
Circulate a petition calling for the repeal of an unpopular law.
These three sentences are protected by The First Amendment because they do not go against any of the laws of the Amendment.
